Haley Beck, MA

Haley obtained their Master of Arts in Experimental (Social) Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), where they conducted research on racial/ethnic and gender stereotyping and prejudice. Their thesis research examined how stereotypes of Native American people are communicated through patterns of nonverbal emotion in television. Their work was funded by the University of Michigan’s Research for Indigenous Social Action and Equity Center; UTK’s Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development; and the UTK Fellowship for Graduate Excellence. They earned their Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Samford University.
